Kiesha Garrison, Speaker & Change Agent, Podcast Host
In a world where Black women are minimized and silenced, Kiesha Garrison aims to enlighten through her own humorous stories and experiences on her platform, anotherblackgirl.com, as she highlights the passions, pursuits, and excellence of other Black women & girls. Our goal was to merge the talents of a bright multi-passionate corporate entertainer and comedian into one cohesive visual identity and platform to promote Black excellence.
Before working together, Kiesha was overwhelmed with the thought of all the work that was in front of her. She felt really alone and knew she could not (and should not) go through the process of building the vision by herself.
After our lively brand strategy session, I honed in on Kiesha’s messaging and stories to create the copy and tone for her brand.
About her brand identity, Kiesha said: “Another moment that stands out is when I got that brand mood board. I think I gasped out loud. It was so on point it seemed like we knew each other for years. I saw an IG story where Toni gave names to each of her client mood boards (each one uniquely suited for each brand) and mine was “Bold Gem.” I was like…I don’t even remember if I told her the name of my LLC is Gem Drop, LLC! I got emotional the first time I saw the website with all the brand vision elements coming to life. She is an artist!”
We had an amazing time on set for Kiesha’s brand photo and video shoot in an elegant Washington DC space. Her images and video told the story of a diamond prepped to sparkle.
When designing Kiesha’s website it was important to balance the colors and keep the distribution professional. We didn’t want a distracting color explosion, but an open uncluttered layout that made room for Kiesha and her accomplishments.
